On the 100-year anniversary of the Bauhaus school’s opening in Weimar, Germany, American Institute of Architects, San Francisco (AIASF), Center for Architecture + Design and the Museum of Craft and Design (MCD) presented bauhaus.photo, a traveling exhibition, developed by the Bauhaus-Archiv/Museum für Gestaltung, Berlin, in partnership with the Goethe Institut San Francisco. bauhaus.photo presented100 key works from the world’s largest collection of Bauhaus photography.

This compelling exhibition celebrated Whitney M. Young Jr. (July 31, 1921 – March 11, 1971), an American civil rights leader who spent most of his career working to end employment discrimination in the United States and turning the National Urban League from a relatively passive civil rights organization into one that aggressively worked for equitable access to socioeconomic opportunity for the historically disenfranchised.
